From the Orkney Islands in Scotland, Fara brings together four musicians at the forefront of today’s Scottish folk scene, Jennifer Austin, Kristan Harvey, Jeana Leslie and Catriona Price. With three fiddles and a piano, they produce a fiery sound rooted strongly in their upbringing among the music of Orkney. Their vibrant arrangements are full of rich harmonies, energetic fiddle playing and driving piano. Performing a mixture of original and traditional Orkney tunes their stunning vocals, award-winning musical experiences and close friendships produce a diverse, exciting sound.

Fara has wowed audiences at some of the most celebrated folk and traditional music festivals in the UK, including Celtic Connections in Glasgow in February. They will be coming to the Grange on their first US tour and are selling out shows throughout the Northeast. We are thrilled to bring them to the Grange.
