HW6: Class Six

Final class in our six-part Lyceum series A History of the World in Six Weeks. Tonight's class is Inter-Imperialist Wars and the Short 'American Century.' The 20th century opened with wars raging among the imperial powers and military conflict, revolutions, and economic and social crises marked the decades that followed. The US emerged as the dominant world power from the ashes of WWII but prosperity and stability were short-lived. The final class in our series will look at this period of history and what it signifies.

Classes presented by Andrew Buchanan, lecturer in global and military history at the University of Vermont.

$5 per lecture, $25 for series. Students under 18, free.
