A portrait is simply a picture of a person. In this class, we will cover different types of photographic portraiture (studio, environmental, “candid”,) tips on composition and posing, simple methods of lighting, and the social aspects of approaching and interacting with subjects. A digital camera with a zoom lens, as well as some experience with photography, are useful, but not required.
