The Grange Music Series is thrilled to bring the IBMA Momentum Award-winning Band of the Year and Canada’s most celebrated bluegrass act to our stage. Rooted in tradition yet fearlessly creative, The Slocan Ramblers emerged from humble beginnings in 2010 playing in Toronto’s rowdy bars to gracing the most storied stages: The Grand Ole Opry, MerleFest, Rockygrass and beyond.

Quickly earning a reputation as a powerhouse live band not to be missed, The Ramblers carved out a place for themselves on festival stages across North America and Europe. Critically acclaimed recordings garnered a JUNO nod and Band/Ensemble of the Year awards at the IBMA and Canadian Folk Music Awards.

Their latest release, "Guests Vol. 1 - Nashville" on Mountain Fever Records, brought the group to Music City to cut a record that captures the magic of a late night backstage jam session. They added to the mix fiddle & dobro greats Jason Carter, Michael Cleveland, Brittany Haas, and Justin Moses, got Alan O’Bryant of the legendary Nashville Bluegrass Band as producer, hit record and had a ball.

This is roots music without pretension, full of heart and guts, designed to remind you why you loved bluegrass in the first place. Say hello to your new favourite band. The Slocan Ramblers are: Adrian Gross on Mandolin, Charles James on Bass and Vocals, Bryan McDowell on Fiddle/Banjo/Vocals. and Darryl Poulsen on Guitar/Vocals.
