Two documentary films, introduced by the director, Paul Wagner

THE STONE CARVERS: Winner, Academy Award for Best Short Documentary. The director of last year's brilliant Georgia O'Keeffe documentary will introduce this fascinating portrait of the last stone carvers in America as they complete the stunning sculptures that adorn the facade of the Washington National Cathedral.

"The film transcends the building and locale to explore the human experience of work." - Humanities Magazine

"A lovely artistic creation, as well as a solid ethnographic record. The viewer is able to get the distinct flavor of the work of stone carving and the love the traditional carvers held for their craft." – American Anthropologis

GOOD WORK: Good Work: Masters of the Building Arts is a portrait of 8 artisans in the building trades, including a stained glass worker, a metalsmith, a Creole plasterer, and a Hispanic adobe builder. The film celebrates American craftsmanship, traditions, the beauty of our built environment, and the importance of Good Work.
